Jake McGee threw 4 TD passes and ran for 3 others, plus a two-point conversion, as he led the Collegiate Cougars to their second straight VIS Division I State Championship at Grover Jones Field this afternoon, 48-28 over Liberty Christian.
Conner Kelley caught two second half TD passes while Alex Newsome caught 9 passes, two for touchdowns. The Cougars finish 9-1, ending the Jake McGee football era with their sixth State Championship in seven years.
