A dominating performance on a cold night on a rugged field on Route 301 tonight by the Hanover Hawks, who scored 28 unanswered points in the first half and never looked back, defeating Petersburg 42-8, and winning their second Central Region Division Five Championship in three years!
Deane Cheatham rushed for over 100 yards and scored the two Hanover touchdowns in the second half.
Hanover now travels to Phoebus High School for the State Semi-Finals next Saturday, and we hope to bring the game to you on WHAN (1430). We will keep you posted!
