J.R. Tucker 35, Patrick Henry 28, OT

What a game! Patrick Henry took the lead for the first time with 1:45 to go in the game, looking for their only road win of the season, when "John Marshall revisited" took place.

The Tigers come back on the ensuing kickoff into Patriot territory and Jered Bennett found Michael Bazemore in the end zone for a 31 yard TD reception to tie the game at 28 with :47.6 to go.

In overtime, the Tigers lost three yards in two plays, then a 15 yard penalty created a 3rd and 28 situation. Bennett threw it high for his 6' 4" wide receiver Mike Mey, who outjumped the Patriot defenders for the surprise touchdown to come back from the abyss.

Mey then intercepted Jay Waller's 4th down pass attempt to tie the game to secure Tucker's 7th win of 2009. The Patriots fall to 3-6 (3-3 in the Colonial District) and come home for Senior Night to play the Colonial District Champions, the Hermitage Panthers.
