For thousands of Hanoverians, this was "the mall" of our youth. Woolco, Woolworth, Thalhimers, LaVogue, Food Fair, and of course, Santa Claus and throwing pennies in the indoor fountain.
But, since 1999, the property of the old Azalea Mall has been, as described in this article, as an eyesore.
