Atlee's Brent West had two doubles as the Raiders upended Lee-Davis 4-1 to win the Capital District baseball championship on Thursday night.
The Lady Confederates were more successful, as Lee-Davis scored two runs in the first, more than enough to capture the Capital District softball crown, 4-0 over the Hanover Lady Hawks. Charyssa Parent led the way with two hits for LD, who now sport a 20-1 record for the season.
The only team to beat Lee-Davis, Patrick Henry, won the Colonial District softball championship Thursday night, defeating J.R. Tucker 5-1. Alley West had 3 hits, and Ashley Samuels had two, driving in one run and scoring another. The Lady Patriots are 19-1 this year.
In soccer, goals by J.P. Hudnall and Blake Thompson gave Lee-Davis the Capital District boys title over Atlee 2-1. In the girls final, Atlee breezed past Hanover 3-0 to capture the crown.
Next up for all teams, their respective Central Region Playoffs. Good luck!
