Good News, Bad News on Job Front

244,000 jobs added to payrolls in April, the highest rise in five years. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate actually rose two-tenths of a percentage point to an even nine percent. Looks like some people who gave up on job hunting are re-entering the hunt, giving us conflicting, but maybe more accurate employment numbers than in recent months, showing us that jobs are being added, but not enough to truly bring the rate down to pre-2007 levels.
