The Collegiate Cougars, winners of state championships in 2008 and 2009, made a surprising run to the state final in 2010 after a disappointing 5-4 regular season, only to fall just short in the title game to Fork Union. That loss is fresh on the minds of the returning players and coaches as 2011 practice gets underway.
