Updated Irene Five-Day Cone Forecast

Suddenly, attention is being drawn to residents in the Northeast from New Jersey to Cape Cod and points north, as the track of Irene continues to shift east, but uncertainty remains as to when other weather systems would be able to set up to finally "kick her out to sea", as happens with many Atlantic hurricanes.

Richmond is still likely to see heavy rain and maybe some gusty winds as the storm skirts the Tidewater area Saturday, due to the immense size of the storm.  The latest five-day forecast cone track is below.
